Divine Will and Ego

Most that believe they are, “doing God’s will”, are in reality just doing what they wanted to do themselves anyway.

What if doing the opposite of everything we ever wanted was, “His will”? Would we still be so confident in our, “destiny”?

Let’s check that belief against reality: “My spouse died. I know I’m in God’s will.” Or how about, “I know it was God’s will that my child is handicapped, that I lost my job, that I was born as an untouchable in India, or that I am a female in Afghanistan”.

We really need a reboot when it comes to our ego mixing in with our faith. Do we really even begin to comprehend what we’re risking when we ask that, “His will be done”? Ask Christ in Gethsemane, just before He was crucified. That’s where you’ll find your answer.

-The greater the meaning, the higher the selflessness of our love.-
